Nurse Practitioner – Full-Time/PRN in Columbus, IN

About the role

Join Indiana Treatment Centers in partnership with Ascension Recovery Services as a Nurse Practitioner. You will provide comprehensive medical and behavioral health care to patients undergoing substance use disorder treatment in an inpatient setting.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct medical and behavioral health evaluations, including histories, physical exams, and risk assessments.
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions within NP scope of practice.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with patients and the interdisciplinary team.
• Prescribe, administer, and manage medications in compliance with Indiana law and facility protocols.
• Oversee detoxification and withdrawal‑management protocols, adjusting treatment as needed.
• Evaluate and manage medication‑assisted treatment and co‑occurring psychiatric symptoms.
• Order, review, and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Document all patient encounters accurately in the electronic health record.
• Respond to medical and psychiatric emergencies and coordinate higher levels of care.
• Provide clinical guidance to nursing staff and educate patients and families.

Required profile

• Current Indiana Nurse Practitioner license with prescribing authority.
• Experience in substance use disorder treatment and medication‑assisted therapy.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing clinical needs.
• Commitment to delivering compassionate, dignified care to individuals with co‑occurring disorders.
