Nurse Member Advocate – Virtual Care

About the role

The Nurse Member Advocate joins Teladoc Health’s virtual‑care team to deliver whole‑person healthcare around the clock. Working within a cross‑functional clinical group, the role focuses on high‑quality care delivery, member satisfaction, and optimal use of internal and external health resources.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with physicians, nurses, medical assistants and other staff to develop and manage cases, create treatment plans and ensure accurate documentation.
• Coordinate primary, preventative, episodic, and expert‑opinion care across Teladoc’s service lines.
• Lead members through a systematic intake assessment to capture comprehensive health histories and direct them to the appropriate service line.
• Resolve prescription issues for episodic care within established protocols and turnaround times.
• Maintain Outlook availability for scheduling member visits and follow‑ups.
• Use Teladoc’s proprietary database to connect members with internal and external physicians and complete referrals.
• Provide health coaching and treatment‑decision support using printed materials and videos.
• Apply clinical judgment to review complex medical issues, ensuring accurate summaries, reports and care plans.
• Offer clinical guidance to support staff on case‑related inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with privacy legislation and internal processes.
• Meet service standards for case progression speed, quality and member satisfaction.
• Support additional projects as needed.

Required profile

• At least 5 years recent experience in an acute‑care setting (preferred).
• Med‑surg background preferred.
• Quality‑driven with a focus on flawless clinical delivery.
