NTP Surveyor – Atlanta

About the role

The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities seeks an NTP Surveyor to conduct compliance surveys of Narcotic Treatment Programs across Georgia. Based in Atlanta, the role involves extensive statewide travel and serves as a subject‑matter expert on NTP regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of all rules and regulations governing NTP compliance.
• Plan, schedule, and execute on‑site compliance surveys of providers.
• Evaluate provider adherence, identify deficiencies, and determine license eligibility.
• Prepare thorough, data‑driven reports that can withstand legal scrutiny.
• Collaborate with internal staff to ensure survey instruments reflect current policies and regulations.
• Enter accurate information into state databases and maintain records per state and federal law.
• Provide technical assistance to providers and communicate findings professionally.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with at least two years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s degree with three years of experience.
• Knowledge of NTP/MOUD services and experience working with individuals with opioid use disorders.
• Professional licensure or credentialing in a related field is preferred.
