NPC Engineering Manager

About the role

Applied Materials is a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions that underpin modern semiconductor chips and advanced displays. The NPC Engineering Manager will lead a team of engineers to deliver projects that advance AI and next‑generation semiconductor technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the engineering team, projects and programs, ensuring preliminary activities such as outcome determination, milestones, viability studies, and resource planning are completed.
• Ensure all projects meet product/process specifications, cost targets, resource utilization, and timeliness.
• Document all phases of project and process development and disseminate required information to other functional areas.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, including engineering notebooks, patents, IP, confidentiality, ISO, and safety.
• Establish departmental budgets and manage material and financial resources in alignment with the annual operating plan.
• Assign work to staff, providing professional development and coaching.
• Spearhead R&D of new manufacturing technologies and integrate new processes into Applied Materials products and services.
• Utilize common engineering technology and software packages to accelerate design development and commercialization.
