North America Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking a senior Controller to lead North American financial reporting and accounting for a fast‑growing critical minerals and technology company. Reporting to the Director of Global Accounting, you will own the month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes, external audit coordination and the implementation of accounting policies in a public‑company environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements, converting K‑IFRS results to U.S. GAAP.
• Coordinate collection, review and integration of financial results from international subsidiaries.
• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Oversee intercompany accounting, consolidation adjustments, foreign‑currency translation and elimination entries.
• Assist with the preparation of audited financial statements and serve as primary liaison with external auditors.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, assigning work, reviewing deliverables and providing training.
• Partner with the global finance team on complex accounting matters, significant transactions and a NetSuite ERP implementation.

Required profile

• At least 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including public‑company reporting.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS conversion and consolidation processes.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop an accounting team.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills with a detail‑oriented mindset.
