Non-Technical Project Manager II

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Non‑Technical Project Manager II to support the planning and execution of projects that drive the development of semiconductor and display manufacturing equipment. Based in San Francisco, you will work closely with engineering, finance and operations teams to ensure projects meet scope, schedule and cost targets while adhering to safety and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support defined project and program objectives, including outcome determination, milestone planning and resource allocation.
• Monitor project progress against product/process specifications, budgets, resource utilization and timelines.
• Document all phases of project, program and process development and disseminate information to relevant functional areas.
• Ensure compliance with company policies on engineering notebooks, patents, confidentiality and safety.
• Conduct studies of emerging technologies as needed.
• Assist with data collection for material and financial resources.

Required profile

• Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, work in tight spaces and perform physical tasks such as bending, squatting and lifting.
• Capability to work in noisy environments and distinguish colors.
• Willingness to work in a clean‑room environment and wear required personal protective equipment (coveralls, hood, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, etc.).
