Non-supervisory Rig-Based Drilling Positions

About the role

Helmerich and Payne is seeking individuals for non‑supervisory rig‑based drilling positions across several U.S. locations. These roles involve hands‑on work on drilling rigs, supporting the team in daily operations and maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform manual labor tasks throughout the rig site, including rig up and down activities.
• Operate and maintain general equipment, conduct repairs on rig components.
• Assist with mud‑mixing, handle tubulars in the derrick, and perform assigned duties on the rig floor.
• Follow safety procedures and demonstrate the company’s core values of care, service attitude, innovation, and teamwork.

Required profile

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Pass a post‑offer physical examination.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to work 12‑hour shifts for 14‑28 consecutive days followed by an equal period off.
• Basic English reading, writing, and speaking skills.
• For non‑entry‑level roles, at least six months of drilling experience and knowledge of well‑drilling procedures.
