Night Shift Pharmacist

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a Night Shift Pharmacist to join its UTower East pharmacy team. This role supports patient care during evening and overnight hours, collaborating with clinicians to ensure safe and effective medication use.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to optimize patient therapy.
• Advise on drug safety, dosing errors, and potential side effects.
• Prepare, label, and dispense medications in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Maintain accurate medication records and ensure proper documentation.
• Conduct medication histories, assess patient compliance, and recommend therapeutic modifications.
• Participate in research initiatives to advance pharmaceutical care.
• Identify opportunities for workflow improvement and implement best practices.

Required profile

• Pharm.D. degree.
• Relevant certification or specialty licensure.
• Minimum of 3 years of pharmacy experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Willingness to work evenings, nights, and weekends as needed.
• Commitment to university values and collaborative teamwork.
