About the role

Time Out is looking for a passionate editor to lead its New York Things To Do coverage. You will curate, write and promote the city’s most exciting events, attractions and cultural experiences across digital, social and live platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Write and curate Things To Do features for Time Out New York.
• Collaborate with the Food and Drink Editor to ensure cross‑vertical coverage.
• Produce news stories, best‑of lists and event round‑ups.
• Partner with social and video teams to create and host video content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube.
• Publish content that can be shared on national U.S. social channels.
• Develop content and activations for Time Out Market events.
• Maintain multiple event calendars and update core guides regularly.
• Build and optimise a weekly newsletter highlighting top stories.
• Serve as a spokesperson on New York activities when needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
• Deep familiarity with New York’s events scene, landmarks and cultural landscape.
• Strong experience in a digital media environment.
• Ability to work in a hybrid schedule (2 days onsite, 3 days remote).
