New Product Introduction (NPI) Sourcing Manager, Data Center Power & Cooling

About the role

Anthropic is scaling AI compute beyond the capabilities of standard data‑center hardware. The New Product Introduction (NPI) Sourcing Manager will lead the introduction of power and cooling equipment—such as battery energy storage systems, inverters, solid‑state transformers, and liquid‑cooling units—ensuring they meet performance, reliability, and manufacturability targets.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end NPI program for each new power or cooling product from concept selection through ramp‑up, defining gate schedules, exit criteria, and risk registers.
• Translate site requirements (fault current, grid interconnection, harmonic limits, thermal envelopes, footprint, serviceability) into clear supplier specifications and negotiate trade‑offs.
• Lead DFM/DFT/DFx reviews to guarantee designs are manufacturable, testable, and serviceable at required volumes.
• Plan and execute prototype and pilot builds, define EVT/DVT/PVT scopes, witness builds, and manage test plans including type testing, HALT/HASS, thermal, EMC, and protection coordination.
• Qualify products for deployment through first‑article inspection, factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), and integrated system testing, signing off on production readiness.
• Transfer qualified products, control plans, test procedures, and known‑issue lists to Manufacturing Quality and Supply Chain Delivery teams and support early production.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing NPI programs for complex electrical or cooling hardware in a data‑center or industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of power electronics, grid‑interconnection standards, and thermal management.
• Hands‑on experience working on supplier factory floors, test labs, and site commissioning.
• Excellent cross‑functional collaboration skills with design, supply‑chain, and quality teams.
