New Grad Full-Time Quantitative Trader

About the role

We are a proprietary trading firm based in New York City seeking a highly motivated new‑graduate Quantitative Trader. You will work alongside experienced traders, researchers, and engineers to develop, test, and execute data‑driven strategies across global markets.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze real‑time market data to spot trading opportunities.
• Support the development, testing, and refinement of quantitative trading strategies.
• Make fast, data‑informed trading decisions while managing risk.
• Collaborate with traders, researchers, and engineers to improve models, tools, and execution systems.
• Conduct statistical analysis on historical and live market data.
• Evaluate market microstructure, liquidity, volatility, and other price drivers.
• Participate in trading simulations, training programs, and strategy review sessions.
• Communicate trade ideas, risks, and performance insights clearly to the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Economics, Finance).
• Strong quantitative, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Interest in financial markets, probability, game theory or competitive problem‑solving.
• Ability to make quick decisions under pressure and remain calm.
• Excellent attention to detail, intellectual curiosity and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Programming experience in Python or a similar language.
