New Grad Full-Time Quantitative Developer

About the role

A proprietary trading firm in New York is looking for a motivated recent graduate to join as a Quantitative Developer. The position blends software engineering, quantitative research, and trading, offering exposure to market‑data pipelines, strategy back‑testing, and real‑time execution systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software tools used by traders, researchers, and engineers.
• Build systems for market data processing, strategy research, simulation, back‑testing, and trade execution.
• Work with large data sets to support quantitative analysis and trading decisions.
• Collaborate with quantitative researchers and traders to translate ideas into reliable production systems.
• Improve performance, scalability, reliability, and usability of internal platforms.
• Develop dashboards, analytics tools, APIs, and automation workflows.
• Debug and optimise code used in research and trading environments.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and engineering best practices.

Required profile

• Recent graduate (Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD or equivalent) from any discipline.
• Strong programming ability in at least one language.
• Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and logical reasoning skills.
• Quick learner with ability to grasp new technologies and financial concepts.
• High attention to detail and commitment to clean, maintainable code.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Interest in financial markets, quantitative systems, or data‑driven decision making.
