Network Support Technician

About the role

Inserso is looking for a Network Support Technician to deliver Tier 2 onsite and remote assistance for DHS customers worldwide. The role focuses on rapid resolution of hardware, software, network and cloud issues to minimise downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Provide LAN administrator support, installing, configuring and maintaining network devices, servers, storage arrays and tape backup units.
• Support network‑attached equipment such as computers, printers, fax machines, biometric devices, ECGs, X‑ray machines, smart displays and sensors.
• Maintain mobile and wireless devices including smartphones, tablets and hotspots.
• Assist with server configuration, security patch application and backup health checks.
• Monitor and resolve tickets in ServiceNow (ITSM), documenting actions per templates.
• Generate daily, weekly and monthly activity reports and update inventory records.
• Install and maintain video‑teleconferencing infrastructure and respond to user requests.
• Participate in on‑call rotation, after‑hours support and special project deployments.
• Run cabling in data centres, LAN rooms and remote wiring closets.
