Network Analyst III

About the role
The Texas A&M University System Offices are seeking a Network Analyst III to lead network analysis projects and provide technical oversight for enterprise network services. This senior‑level position will coordinate a team, monitor network performance, and ensure compliance with technical standards across the system’s extensive infrastructure.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate monitoring of network performance and respond to complex enterprise network issues.
- Lead and prioritize the response to network incidents, including Tier III support and problem‑management processes.
- Collect, validate, and document network topology data for use in all network processes.
- Maintain inventory records for replacement equipment, parts, and consumables.
- Identify and isolate unauthorized or compromised devices in collaboration with Network Security.
- Assist junior team members and provide technical guidance on temporary network installations, firewall replacements, and field tasks.
- Prepare status reports, problem reports, and progress summaries for management and users.
Required profile
- Proven experience in enterprise network troubleshooting and performance monitoring.
- Ability to lead a technical team and coordinate network analysis activities.
- Strong understanding of network documentation, inventory management, and problem‑management processes.
- Experience working with network security teams to isolate compromised devices.
