NDI Technician

About the role

Airbus Aerosystems Kinston is seeking an NDI Technician to join its Quality department in Kinston, North Carolina. The role focuses on non‑destructive inspection of composite aerostructures used on the Airbus A350 XWB, ensuring parts meet strict engineering requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Perform ultrasonic non‑destructive inspection on composite components and document results.
• Set up, calibrate, and standardize NDI equipment according to approved procedures.
• Interpret inspection data to determine acceptance or rejection of parts.
• Conduct system performance checks and maintain compliance with customer specifications.
• Provide guidance on NDI processes and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Technical background in non‑destructive testing, preferably in aerospace or composite manufacturing.
• Experience using ultrasonic inspection equipment and interpreting results.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures.
