Natural Gas Pipeline Operator

About the role

The Operator position is located at Kinder Morgan’s KinderHawk facility in Shreveport, LA. The role involves operating and monitoring natural gas pipeline and related processing equipment to ensure safe and efficient product movement.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor station/terminal control panels to control gas flow.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on pipelines, compressors, and related equipment.
• Observe equipment operation, detect malfunctions, and record instrument readings.
• Conduct chemical tests to evaluate gas quality and maintain operating logs.
• Drive to field locations as needed to support operational activities.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least three years of experience in natural gas gathering pipeline and facility operations.
• Ability to work under supervision, meet deadlines, and follow safety procedures.
• Physical ability to climb stairs, ladders, and handle equipment.

Required skills

• Basic computer skills.
• Experience with AMINE treatment, gas processing, or glycol treatment.
• Knowledge of pipeline and compressor station layout and operations.
• Ability to operate internal combustion engines and control panels.
• Proficiency in monitoring meters, gauges, and performing chemical tests.
