National Sales Director

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated National Sales Director to lead national account activity from our Farmington, MN Service Center. The role is responsible for driving revenue growth, managing contracts, and ensuring excellent service for our national customers.

Key responsibilities

• Own and execute the national account strategy in line with corporate goals.
• Oversee contract coordination with the pricing analyst and manage bid proposals.
• Forecast bill count and revenue, monitor daily results, and measure performance against targets.
• Communicate with all internal departments to support national accounts.
• Promote market awareness by engaging directly with national customers’ traffic, purchasing, and IT teams.
• Handle service complaints and pricing issues, escalating when necessary.
• Support sales executives with required information and perform daily administrative tasks.
• Travel extensively on a recurring basis.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing national accounts in transportation or logistics.
• Strong understanding of traffic, pricing, and contract coordination.
• Excellent communication, listening, and team‑building abilities.
• Ability to travel frequently and work independently.
