National Manager, A&D & Commercial Sales

About the role

The National Manager, A&D & Commercial Sales drives specification activity, commercial project development, revenue growth, and market share across the Architectural & Design and Commercial sales channels. This senior leadership position oversees a team of channel managers, collaborates with the National Accounts team, and builds relationships with key decision‑makers in the building‑materials industry.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to increase specification activity, commercial project opportunities, and revenue growth.
• Lead sales performance and market penetration across assigned territories (MA, IL, NY/NJ, NC, FL).
• Build and maintain relationships with architects, designers, developers, builders, and general contractors.
• Identify new business opportunities, emerging market trends, and competitive threats.
• Collaborate with National Accounts Manager and Sales Team to maximize national account opportunities.
• Support major project pursuits and strategic growth initiatives.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of A&D and Commercial Sales Representatives.
• Conduct field travel and joint sales calls to support account development and territory growth.
• Monitor performance against goals, provide coaching, conduct evaluations, and recruit top sales talent.
• Support project tracking, specification conversion, and opportunity management throughout the sales cycle.

Required profile

• Hands‑on sales leader with experience in specification‑driven selling and commercial project development.
• Proven ability to build relationships with architects, designers, developers, builders, and general contractors.
• Experience leading and developing high‑performing sales teams.
• Strong knowledge of quartz, porcelain, stone, tile, surfacing, architectural products, or broader building‑materials industry.
