National Accounts Manager – Automotive Catalyst Recycling

About the role

American Iron & Metal (AIM) is seeking a results‑driven National Accounts Manager to lead the growth of its Honeycomb catalyst recycling business across the United States. This remote role combines sales, supplier relationship management, and market development, with up to 60% national travel.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, negotiate, and secure long‑term purchasing agreements, toll‑refining contracts, and strategic supply partnerships to drive volume, margin, and profitability.
• Lead national sourcing initiatives focused on automotive and related catalyst or precious‑metal‑bearing materials.
• Prospect, develop, and convert new supplier relationships while expanding existing accounts.
• Lead bids, structure competitive tolling agreements, and negotiate pricing strategies.
• Conduct regular onsite visits to supplier locations, including auto recyclers, dismantlers, scrap processors, and industrial accounts throughout the U.S.
• Create territory and account growth plans through proactive, face‑to‑face engagement.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development or sales within the automotive recycling, metal recycling, or related industrial sectors.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with a track record of securing strategic commercial partnerships.
• Ability to work independently in the field, manage a national travel schedule, and achieve measurable results.
• Excellent negotiation and contract‑management capabilities.
• Self‑motivated, results‑oriented, and comfortable with frequent travel.
