National Account Manager

About the role

The National Account Manager will drive profitable growth across the Convenience and Specialty channels in an established region. You will manage existing customer accounts, develop new business, and build long‑term partnerships with national and mid‑size retailers and distributors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute annual account plans to meet sales and trade‑spend targets.
• Analyze syndicated data and vendor portals to create forecasts, promotional plans, and market insights.
• Manage relationships with key convenience distributors (e.g., McLane, Core‑Mark) and national/regional brokers.
• Drive distribution gains, new item authorizations, and in‑store execution for high‑velocity SKUs.
• Maintain a pipeline of opportunities in a CRM system and prioritize leads.
• Participate in sales meetings, field visits, and expense reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience in national or key account management within retail or consumer goods.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret market data and forecast sales.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with retailers and distributors.
• Ability to travel within the assigned region for market visits.
