MWR Administrative Assistant

About the role

The MWR Administrative Assistant provides essential clerical support to the Installation Program Director and Division Head. Working independently, the assistant handles correspondence, manages files, and ensures that deadlines are met while maintaining a professional front for visitors and callers.

Key responsibilities

• Screen calls and visitors, directing inquiries to appropriate personnel.
• Draft, edit, and format a variety of internal and external correspondence.
• Maintain official files, regulations, manuals, and directives.
• Read incoming mail, determine appropriate action, and track outgoing documents for correct format.
• Manage the Division Head’s calendar, schedule appointments and meetings.
• Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
• Supervise and review the work of other clerical staff as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• At least one year of responsible clerical support experience.
• Strong commitment to division policies and program goals.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work under general supervision and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Typing proficiency.
• Computer operation (CRT or personal computer) and adaptability to various software applications.
