Missile Defense System Architecture Engineer

About the role

APEX TK is seeking a Missile Defense System Architecture Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Architecture Validation team. The role focuses on developing and enhancing the QlikSense‑based Capability Gap Tracker tool.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct support to the Architecture Validation Team within MDA's Chief Architect's Office.
• Develop, update, and organize gaps and threats in the Capability Gap Tracker (CGT) tool.
• Create dashboards and visualizations to aid reporting, analysis, and architecture decision‑making.
• Collaborate with other MDA organizations to promote CGT usage and share system insights.
• Engage cross‑functional teams and CGT users to identify reporting needs and deliver data‑driven solutions.

Required profile

• Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
• 3+ years experience supporting missile‑defense or large DoD programs.
• Experience working with large data sets.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Experience with QlikSense (or similar data‑visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI).
• Familiarity with Digital Engineering tools like Cameo or Palantir.
