Millwork Draftsperson/Engineer

About the role

Adams + Beasley Associates (ABA) is hiring a Millwork Draftsperson/Engineer for its Millwork department, reporting to the Millwork Manager. The Millwork Team executes high-end woodwork, millwork and cabinetry components, and the engineer carries out projects independently and thoroughly, meeting the company's high standards of detail, quality and craftsmanship. The position is 40 hours per week, non-exempt.

Key responsibilities

• Perform site measurements for millwork projects
• Create and revise shop drawings and specifications based on design drawings and direction
• Coordinate planning and detailing with the Lead Millworker, and work with Construction Managers, Project Managers, architects and designers
• Track details and changes throughout a project
• Develop cut lists and material take-offs
• Represent the company positively with co-workers, vendors and subcontractors, and report to the shop on time

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in cabinetry, millwork and drafting
• Experience in both digital drafting and the construction of woodworking and cabinetry
• Strong organization, documentation and communication skills
