Mill Machinist III – 3rd Shift (Buffalo, NY)

About the role

Moog is seeking a Mill Machinist III for the 3rd shift at its Buffalo, NY facility. You will apply advanced milling techniques to produce high‑precision components for aerospace and defense programs, contributing directly to mission‑critical hardware.

Key responsibilities

• Perform a full range of milling operations on various materials using vertical and tracer‑type milling machines.
• Set up, calibrate, and operate vertical mills according to detailed work instructions.
• Develop new machining methods and techniques as needed.
• Interpret engineering drawings, create layouts, and occasionally work without operation sheets.
• Inspect finished parts using diverse inspection equipment, identifying defects and unusual conditions.

Required profile

• High School diploma or GED (preferred) with the ability to follow written and computer instructions in English.
• Minimum of 4 years of hands‑on experience as a mill machinist in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
