Mill Machinist III – 2nd Shift

About the role

Moog is seeking a Mill Machinist III for the 2nd shift at its Buffalo, NY facility. You will produce high‑precision aerospace and defense components using advanced milling equipment, contributing directly to mission‑critical programs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform a full range of milling operations on various materials using vertical and tracer‑type mills.
• Set up, calibrate, and operate vertical milling machines according to engineering specifications.
• Interpret engineering drawings and, when required, create layouts without operation sheets.
• Inspect finished parts with precision measurement tools and identify any defects or non‑conformities.
• Occasionally develop new machining methods and improve existing processes.

Required profile

• High School diploma or GED (preferred) and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a mill machinist in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining high quality standards.
• Strong mathematical skills for basic calculations and measurements.
