Mill Machinist II – 2nd Shift

About the role

Moog is seeking a skilled Mill Machinist II for the 2nd shift in its Military Aircraft Group. You will produce high‑precision components for advanced aerospace programs such as the F‑35, MQ‑25, and FLRAA, working in a mission‑critical environment where quality and reliability are paramount.

Key responsibilities

• Perform a full range of milling operations on various materials using vertical mills and tracer‑type machines.
• Set up, calibrate, and operate vertical mills according to specified procedures.
• Develop new machining methods and techniques as needed.
• Interpret engineering drawings, sometimes without operation sheets, and create complex layouts.
• Work with minimal supervision while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Inspect finished parts, identify defects, and use inspection equipment to verify compliance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED preferred; ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• At least 3 years of experience as a CNC Mill Machinist.
• Eligibility to enroll in the FAA Drug & Alcohol Program for safety‑sensitive work.
• Willingness to work the 2nd shift on‑site in Buffalo, NY.
