Midlevel Financial Services Litigation Associate (NY or SF)

About the role

Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is seeking a mid‑level associate to join its Financial Services Litigation team in either New York or San Francisco. The role offers immediate involvement in complex securities and financial‑services disputes, working directly with partners and high‑profile clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage substantive aspects of complex litigation in federal and state courts, arbitrations, and regulatory proceedings.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation filings.
• Conduct discovery, including document review, written discovery, and witness preparation.
• Support deposition preparation, hearings, and trial strategy.
• Participate in case management, factual development, and client counseling.
• Collaborate across litigation and financial‑services teams on high‑profile disputes and enforcement matters.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience handling securities or financial‑services litigation.
• Strong writing, analytical, and oral advocacy abilities.
• Experience managing day‑to‑day litigation responsibilities and direct client interaction.
• Admission to the New York or California bar, depending on office location.
• Government agency experience is a plus.
