Middle School Science Teacher

About the role

Sinai Akiba Academy is seeking an engaging and creative Science Teacher for its Middle School (grades 6‑8). The teacher will design and deliver science curriculum, assess student progress, and support both academic and social‑emotional development in a supportive, values‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, document, and teach engaging science lessons aligned with school philosophy and core values.
• Assess student learning, grade assignments, and provide constructive feedback.
• Manage classroom behavior using Responsive Classroom and RULER frameworks.
• Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues via email, newsletters, and meetings.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Lead social‑emotional learning activities, including SEL check‑ins and conflict‑resolution practices.
• Participate in school events, professional development, and collaborative planning.

Required profile

• Experience teaching science to middle‑school students (grades 6‑8).
• Commitment to fostering academic excellence, ethical responsibility, and community values.
• Strong communication skills with students, families, and staff.
• Ability to integrate technology into instruction.

Required skills
