Microbiologist – AI Trainer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced microbiologist to help train and evaluate AI chatbots that answer complex biology questions. You will work remotely, measuring model progress, assessing output quality, and providing feedback to improve performance.

Key responsibilities

• Pose advanced cell biology, genetics, and biochemistry questions to AI chatbots.
• Evaluate chatbot responses for scientific accuracy and logical consistency.
• Track and report on model performance metrics.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues to enhance model quality.

Required profile

• Fluent English (native or bilingual level).
• Detail‑oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Solid knowledge of cell biology, genetics, biochemistry, and experimental methods.
• Current, in‑progress, or completed Master’s or PhD preferred but not mandatory.
• Based in the United States and able to work independently as a contractor.
