Metrology Electronic Calibration Technician

About the role

Moog’s Military Aircraft Group seeks a Metrology Electronic Calibration Technician to perform precise calibrations, troubleshooting, and repairs on complex electro‑mechanical, hydraulic, servo, and electronic equipment supporting flight control actuation systems.

Key responsibilities

• Execute planned and unplanned calibrations of electronic measurement and test equipment (M&TE) with minimal supervision.
• Troubleshoot, disassemble, and repair equipment when breakdowns occur, following drawings, calibration procedures, Moog specifications, and applicable military standards.
• Interpret technical documentation, including schematics, calibration procedures, and manufacturer instructions.
• Maintain accurate calibration records and ensure timely return to service of equipment.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree or equivalent technical training with at least 3 years of experience in electrical calibration, assembly, repair, or maintenance.
• Alternatively, a high school diploma/GED with 5 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and apply English work instructions and perform basic arithmetic.
• Strong planning, organization, and interpersonal skills to manage workload and communicate issues.

Required skills

• Proficiency with precision electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical measuring equipment.
• Experience calibrating and repairing electronic components, complex test stands, and systems.
• Knowledge of electro‑mechanical, hydraulic, and servo systems used in aerospace applications.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, calibration procedures, and military specifications.
• Effective troubleshooting and problem‑resolution techniques.
