Metrologist / CMM Programmer

About the role

Bosch Group is seeking a Metrologist/CMM Programmer to join its Albion plant. You will be responsible for precise measurement of components using advanced coordinate measurement machines and related inspection tools, supporting product quality across the manufacturing process.

Key responsibilities

• Measure parts with CMM software such as PCDMIS, QUINDOS, QV‑Pak, FormTracePak, Form Tracer, OptoCat and Polyworks.
• Develop and set up modular fixturing for accurate part measurement.
• Create ballooned drawings, generate reports from CMM data and hand measurements.
• Program and operate Camera Scanner systems for part‑to‑CAD model inspection.
• Explain layout reports to tooling, molding, and quality engineering teams.
• Maintain calibration of all inspection, measuring and test equipment.
• Utilise Microsoft Office tools for data entry, reporting and communication.
• Provide guidance on measurement challenges and support the quality management system.
• Travel for training and perform overtime when required.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree or equivalent technical education with at least two years of relevant experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints.
• Experience working with CAD models is desirable.
• Programming experience with PCDMIS, QUINDOS (preferred) and/or QV‑Pak.
• Gear measurement and surface‑roughness inspection experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, self‑motivation and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and chart creation.
