Meter Service Technician (Non‑Union)

About the role

The Meter Service Technician performs on‑site electric meter change‑outs and delivers required notices while ensuring safety and customer satisfaction. This full‑time, non‑union position involves operating a company vehicle and using a variety of tools in diverse field conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Change out existing electric utility meters and deliver required notices.
• Operate and maintain a company vehicle, equipment, and personal protective gear safely.
• Provide professional customer service to internal and external clients.
• Navigate to job sites using maps and smartphone applications, especially in congested areas.
• Manage time and workload independently to meet deadlines.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of work‑related driving experience.
• Mechanical or electrical experience is a plus.
• Ability to work a minimum 40‑hour week, including Saturdays as make‑up days.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre‑employment drug screen, background, and MVR checks.
