Merchandising Planner

About the role

The Merchandising Planner will drive merchandise strategy and optimize inventory to exceed financial targets. You will shape the seasonal assortment architecture, create buy plans, and collaborate across functions to bring the vision to life.

Key responsibilities

• Build weekly financial sales, gross‑margin and inventory plans at the item level.
• Develop pricing strategies that maximize sales and profit.
• Reforecast in‑season performance, present updated projections and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Create allocation and flow strategies to meet store inventory needs.
• Plan product assortments (item, colour, size) for each category.
• Manage replenishment plans to ensure optimal sales and avoid stock‑outs.
• Place orders for seasonal and replenishment buys.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Store Operations and other cross‑functional teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2‑4 years of experience in planning or merchandising.
• Strong analytical, mathematical and financial acumen.
• Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
