Merchandise Associate – Retail Sales

About the role

Join Marshalls as a Merchandise Associate and be the face of our store, delivering an exceptional customer experience while maintaining a clean, organized environment. You will work alongside a diverse team, supporting store operations and helping customers find the products they love.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with customers, embodying Marshalls’ customer experience philosophy.
• Accurately process purchases, returns, and loyalty program promotions.
• Maintain merchandising standards and prepare merchandise for the sales floor.
• Support store recovery, cleanliness, and organization throughout the day.
• Adhere to operational, loss‑prevention, and labor‑law policies.
• Participate in shrink‑reduction initiatives and safety programs.
• Provide and receive constructive feedback and assist with other duties as needed.

Required profile

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Flexible schedule to meet business needs.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Adaptability to changing directions or unexpected situations.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects (with reasonable accommodation if needed).
• Team‑oriented attitude and ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.
• Previous retail customer experience is a plus.
