MEP Project Manager – Mission Critical (Jackson, MS)

About the role
Alston Construction is seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to lead mission‑critical mechanical, electrical, and plumbing projects in Jackson, MS. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality, fully functional MEP systems on schedule and within budget while fostering strong client relationships.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate with design teams to review drawings, specifications, and ensure constructability.
- Monitor installation for compliance with project specifications, codes, and quality standards.
- Track budgets and manage cost impacts related to design or scope adjustments.
- Maintain working knowledge of all MEP plans, specifications, submittals, and shop drawings.
- Ensure compliance with safety policies and environmental regulations.
- Participate in client presentations and project meetings, including coordination and commissioning meetings.
- Submit close‑out documents such as as‑built drawings and O&M manuals.
- Maintain project documentation in hard copy and electronically via Procore.
- Mentor project engineers and MEP coordinators, fostering cross‑discipline collaboration.
- Oversee testing, commissioning, and turnover of MEP systems to ensure operational readiness.
- Develop and maintain detailed MEP schedules aligned with overall project milestones.
Required profile
- Proven experience managing MEP projects from design through close‑out.
- Strong knowledge of MEP plans, specifications, and construction processes.
- Ability to track budgets, schedules, and manage scope changes.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination.
- Leadership capability to mentor engineers and coordinate trade partners.
