Memory & Advanced Packaging Strategy Technologist

About the role

Applied Materials seeks a Memory/Advanced Packaging Strategy Technologist to drive the roadmap and strategic planning for the Varian Business Unit within the Silicon Products Group. You will work with cross‑functional teams to anticipate technology inflections over the next decade and translate them into equipment and integration solutions for memory and advanced packaging customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the memory technology roadmap, identifying key challenges and opportunities for DRAM, NAND and advanced packaging.
• Support market sizing, forecasting, and share analysis, linking technology trends to business impact.
• Collaborate with marketing, engineering and technical teams to create high‑level presentations and technical collateral.
• Provide integrated demo and integration support, file IP, and act as a thought partner for internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a lead process integration or device engineer on leading‑edge semiconductor technology.
• Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to senior audiences.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of DRAM and NAND memory technologies and device physics.
• Experience with advanced packaging processes and integration schemes.
• Proficiency in AI‑enabled engineering process optimization (desirable).
• Strong data‑analysis and presentation‑software skills.
