Member of Technical Staff, Machine Learning

About the role

NomadicML is building a platform that turns massive video footage into structured intelligence for autonomous driving, robotics and industrial automation. As a Member of Technical Staff in Machine Learning, you will work at the intersection of foundation‑model research and production engineering, shaping how machines learn from motion.

Key responsibilities

• Design, train and fine‑tune large‑scale Vision‑Language Models (VLMs) for motion understanding on autonomous‑driving and robotics datasets.
• Build and scale GPU‑accelerated pipelines for multi‑modal data (video, language, sensor metadata) covering training, inference and fine‑tuning.
• Develop agentic evaluation frameworks to benchmark spatiotemporal reasoning, localization accuracy and narrative consistency.
• Implement curation loops that use internal models to generate and refine training datasets (“AI training AI”).
• Publish research at top conferences while delivering production‑ready APIs and SDKs for enterprise customers.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in Python and PyTorch with experience in large‑scale ML workflows.
• Research background in foundation models, VLMs or multi‑modal learning (publications or patents a plus).
• Ability to run end‑to‑end experiments autonomously and iterate quickly.
• Experience with video or sensor data training and fine‑tuning.
• Understanding of retrieval systems, embeddings and GPU optimization.
