About the role

NomadicML is building a video‑intelligence platform that turns massive driving footage into structured AI insights. We are looking for a Backend / Infrastructure Engineer who will design, build, and scale the core systems that power large‑scale GPU inference, cloud ingestion, and developer SDKs.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and operate multi‑GPU inference pipelines for foundation‑scale video models, optimizing throughput, cost, and reliability.
• Develop secure cloud upload integrations with AWS S3, GCP Storage, and Azure Blob, supporting signed URLs and resumable uploads.
• Design event‑driven, autoscaling processing pipelines using Kubernetes, Pub/Sub, or Ray to analyze terabytes of video data in parallel.
• Build and maintain the NomadicML Python SDK and related TypeScript bindings for programmatic video ingestion, analysis, and search.
• Implement end‑to‑end observability (logging, tracing, metrics) to surface GPU utilization, job latency, and per‑video health.
• Support lightweight backend endpoints for web‑app integrations and project workflows.

Required profile

• Strong background in backend and infrastructure engineering, especially cloud‑native services.
• Experience collaborating with machine‑learning researchers to productionize models.
• Proven ability to design scalable, reliable systems for high‑volume data processing.
