Medical RFP COE Consultant

About the role

We are looking for a Medical RFP COE Consultant to join Mercer’s team. The role can be based in Denver, Chicago, Houston or Portland and follows a hybrid work model with at least three days on‑site each week.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the medical Request for Proposal (RFP) process across multiple project teams.
• Facilitate interaction among key stakeholders, ensuring timelines are met and issues are resolved.
• Analyze RFP results, synthesize data into compelling narratives, and deliver recommendations to clients.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for day‑to‑day client inquiries and standard questions.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to capture feedback, resolve issues, and drive process improvements.
• Document all activities in the workflow system to guarantee timely follow‑up and final deliverables.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Minimum five years of client‑service experience in health‑benefits insurance or consulting.
• Working knowledge of the medical RFP process.
• Strong project‑management, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
• Effective relationship‑building and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Active Health Producers license or willingness to obtain one within 30 days of hire.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the MS Office Suite.
