Medical Receptionist (Remote, US Hours)

About the role

Our U.S.-based healthcare client seeks an experienced Medical Receptionist to handle front‑office operations and patient communications remotely. The role requires direct interaction with patients in a U.S. medical setting and fluency in English.

Key responsibilities

• Answer inbound patient calls in English and manage scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations.
• Register patients, update demographic data, and maintain accurate records in the EMR/EHR system.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits when required.
• Handle incoming/outgoing faxes, patient messages, and route clinical questions appropriately.
• Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in U.S. healthcare as a Medical Receptionist or similar front‑desk role.
• Direct experience working with patients in a U.S. medical practice, clinic, hospital, or outpatient setting.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Availability to work during U.S. business hours.

Required skills

• Proficiency with EMR/EHR platforms (e.g., Athenahealth, Tebra, eClinicalWorks, Practice Fusion, Epic, SimplePractice).
• Insurance eligibility and benefits verification.
