Medical Practice Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Medical Practice Manager to lead a busy on‑site ENT/allergy specialty practice in Hunterdon, NJ. You will own the daily operating rhythm, financial performance, and process improvements for a team of 7 physicians and 37 staff members.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day operations, ensuring smooth clinic flow, scheduling, coverage, and adherence to practice policies.
• Own the financial picture of the practice, evaluating labor, supplies, volume, staffing patterns and expense control.
• Use data and performance metrics to identify trends, recommend actions and improve overall practice performance.
• Recruit, onboard, develop and supervise multidisciplinary staff across clinical, clerical and front‑office functions.
• Partner with physicians as a trusted operational ally, translating feedback into practical improvements.
• Maintain patient experience, compliance with HIPAA, OSHA and internal policies, and leverage EHR and practice‑management systems for visibility.

Required profile

• 5+ years of healthcare management or progressive leadership experience in a physician practice or ambulatory specialty setting.
• Proven track record of managing practice operations, financial performance and team collaboration.
• Ability to balance urgent daily needs with longer‑term workflow and process improvement initiatives.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build credibility with physicians, clinical and clerical staff.
• Hands‑on, accountable and collaborative approach without needing a fully built playbook.
