About the role

The Medical Laboratory Scientist – Flow Cytometry performs specimen processing, laboratory testing, and data analysis to support diagnosis and treatment. The role involves maintaining equipment, ensuring quality control, and adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and prepare specimens, perform laboratory tests, and calculate results for clinical use.
• Conduct quality control, instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of analytical equipment.
• Follow regulatory compliance, safety guidelines, and proficiency testing protocols.
• Manage inventory of supplies and reagents, and support performance improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or related scientific field.
• Current state license (if applicable) and ASCP, AMT, or AAB certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technologist.
• Effective verbal and written communication, analytical problem‑solving, and good judgment.

Required skills

• Flow cytometry operation and data interpretation.
• Laboratory instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Phlebotomy procedures.
• Proficiency with Windows‑based computer applications for data entry and retrieval.
