Medical Assisting Instructor (Part‑Time)

About the role

The Medical Assisting Instructor will join North Georgia Technical College to develop and deliver curriculum for accredited medical assisting programs. This part‑time position involves classroom teaching, clinical instruction, and student mentorship in Blairsville, GA.

Key responsibilities

• Develop program and course outlines, goals, and objectives.
• Prepare lesson plans for credited technical/occupational courses.
• Provide instruction in classroom and clinical settings.
• Evaluate student progress toward program goals.
• Supervise students during practicum or internship placements.
• Maintain program data required for accreditation.
• Participate in professional development and budget requests for supplies and equipment.
• Ensure safety and security standards in training areas.
• Assist with recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree in an Allied Health Science field.
• Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification.
• Experience working as a Medical Assistant or Medical Office Manager.

Required skills

• Knowledge of medical assisting procedures and clinical practices.
