Media & Entertainment Litigation Associate (Mid‑level)

About the role

Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is seeking a mid‑level associate to join its Media & Entertainment Practice Group in New York or Washington, DC. You will work on high‑profile litigation, IP, and First Amendment matters for leading clients in news, publishing, entertainment, media, and technology.

Key responsibilities

• Represent major media and entertainment clients in complex litigation, including discovery and motion practice.
• Assist with IP and First Amendment matters, providing strategic advice and drafting pleadings.
• Collaborate closely with partners and senior associates, taking on substantive responsibility early in the role.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative firm culture.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of substantive litigation experience.
• Admission to the bar in New York or Washington, D.C.
• Demonstrated ability to handle high‑stakes, fast‑paced cases.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and client‑service orientation.
