Mechanical Technician – Hands‑on role in refrigeration manufacturing

About the role

Zero Zone is seeking a Mechanical Technician to join its Dyersville, IA production team. You will work on the assembly of commercial and industrial refrigeration systems, gaining hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with mechanical piping layout according to design documentation.
• Perform brazing and entry‑level MIG welding following Zero Zone standards.
• Conduct mechanical inspections in collaboration with peers and the Quality team.
• Support inspection and testing activities to ensure raw materials and finished products meet specifications.
• Help analyze and resolve work problems related to product design and layout.
• Maintain a positive, team‑oriented work environment.
• Interact professionally with internal departments, vendors, and customers.

Required profile

• High mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Ability to follow directions and work under guidance.
• Entry‑level experience (approximately 1 month) or recent technical training.
