Mechanical Receiving Inspector - 2nd Shift

About the role

Moog is seeking a Mechanical Receiving Inspector for the 2nd shift to join its Quality Assurance team in Buffalo, NY. You will play a key part in ensuring that incoming and manufactured parts meet strict aerospace standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform dimensional inspections of precision‑machined parts using a variety of gauges and measuring equipment.
• Witness compliance with written instructions, procedures, and special‑process parameters.
• Observe certified operators and machinists, sampling their output to verify conformance to specifications.
• Document inspection results and report any non‑conformances.
• Support prove‑out activities for cell manufacture and audit machine‑shop, sub‑assembly, and special‑process areas.

Required profile

• High School diploma or GED (preferred) with the ability to follow verbal, written, and computer work instructions in English.
• Demonstrated basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Minimum three (3) years of experience operating precision machines and applying inspection techniques.

Required skills

• Proficiency with precision measurement gauges and sophisticated measuring equipment.
• Dimensional inspection and blueprint reading.
• Knowledge of quality‑control procedures and gauging techniques.
