Mechanical Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to lead mechanical and plumbing design projects across a variety of building types, while staying hands‑on with technical work. This role blends client interaction, project ownership, and mentorship in a collaborative Colorado team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead mechanical and plumbing design projects for commercial, government, education, healthcare, and other sectors.
• Perform HVAC and plumbing design tasks, including load calculations, equipment selection, coordination, and design review.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, deliverables, and client communications.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, building owners, and internal design teams.
• Support construction administration, conduct site visits, coordinate field activities, and resolve issues through project closeout.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers, fostering technical growth.

Required profile

• 6+ years of mechanical design experience within MEP consulting or building design.
• Strong HVAC design background; plumbing exposure is a plus.
• Proven experience managing projects, schedules, budgets, and client relationships.
• Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD.
• PE license is a plus (must be obtained within a few months if not already held).
• Enjoys both technical work and client‑facing responsibilities.
