Mechanical Engineer V

About the role

Applied Materials is a global leader in materials engineering solutions for semiconductor and display manufacturing. The Mechanical Engineer V will apply physics, mathematics and materials science to solve complex mechanical problems, design tooling and support the full product life‑cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement concepts for complex product issues and engineering solutions.
• Lead engineering projects and research new technologies.
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve significantly complex mechanical problems.
• Perform advanced engineering analysis and generate product specifications.
• Design, develop and modify mechanical layouts, schematics and specifications.
• Oversee manufacturing and installation processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Coordinate procurement and assembly of mechanical components and equipment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10‑15 years of relevant experience.
• Deep technical expertise in mechanical engineering and product life‑cycle.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for customer interaction.
