Mechanical Engineer V (E5 level)

About the role

As a Mechanical Engineer you will apply a strong foundation in physics, mathematics and materials science to solve complex mechanical problems, design custom tooling, and support the handling, assembly and disassembly of components throughout the product life cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement concepts for highly complex product issues and engineering solutions.
• Lead engineering projects and drive research and development of new technologies.
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of complex engineering problems.
• Perform advanced engineering analysis and generate product specifications.
• Design, modify and review mechanical layouts, schematics, drawings and specifications.
• Oversee manufacturing and installation processes to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Coordinate procurement and assembly of mechanical components, identifying critical parts and subsystems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• 10‑15 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in semiconductor capital equipment.
• Deep technical expertise in the Applied Materials product life cycle.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for customer interaction.
