Mechanical Engineer – Semiconductor Design (San Jose)

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our semiconductor equipment team in San Jose. The role focuses on designing mechanical components for high‑tech and special‑purpose machines, ensuring compliance with industry standards and supporting manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop mechanical designs using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Pro/E, Inventor, or similar 3D CAD tools.
• Create detailed models of machined components, sheet‑metal parts, weldments, and fabricated assemblies.
• Apply GD&T (ASME Y14.5) principles to ensure design accuracy and manufacturability.
• Support ECR/ECO/ECN processes and manage manufacturing tolerances.
• Collaborate on semiconductor capital equipment projects, including vacuum systems, wafer handling, and motion mechanisms.

Required profile

• 1+ years of mechanical design experience in semiconductor, high‑tech, or special‑purpose machine industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE/B.Tech/BS).
• Eligibility for OPT visa status.
